CYT Angels – Former & Current Members
In our 30th Year we need the CYT family to help make the organisation strong and inspiring for the next generation of members! There has never been a more important time for our members to rally and help the cause!
Ironically Wolverhampton was in a similar place in the mid 1980’s when we first started, and here we are 30yrs later looking at an even bleaker landscape of boarded-up shops, high unemployment and rapidly closing facilities – all enveloping the City in a sense of all pervading gloom.
Against this back drop of doom and gloom we would like to secure the future of CYT for the next decade or at least until the downturn becomes an upturn.
We are setting the bar really high and aim to raise £300,000 pounds. It may sound an ambitious challenge, but if someone had said 30yrs ago you must try and keep a youth theatre going for 30yrs on a tiny grant, I would have said that was an impossible challenge – yet here we are!
Given the many challenges we have risen to, the track record of artistic work we have created including our international achievements and the loyal and committed membership we have sustained I feel together this is something we could achieve.
If you believe that the youth theatre gave you “great memories, special experiences, dear friends and a love of theatre” then I hope you will want to give this opportunity to future generations of young Wulfrunians.
Become a CYT Angel. We are looking for 30 CYT Angels who will commit to individually raising £300 each. You have until July 2014 to raise the money – and you can do it anyway you wish: Sponsored events, bungee jumps, run a marathon etc etc. We will compile a full list of our Angels and publicise your endeavours through our newsletters to members and parents and at the end of the year we will hold a thank you reception for those of you who can attend.

CYT Guardian Angel – a guardian Angel will make an individual donation of a minimum of £300 to CYT in September 2013 and pledge to do the same in the years to come.
All our CYT Angels will be acknowledged on a special page on our website and your name will be put on our ‘Angels’ wall at ‘CYT @ The Arts Market’.
You will also get a mention in our 30th Anniversary Programme.
