CYT - Wolverhampton's Cultural Provider

2016-2017

CYT were awarded a grant from the Post Code Community Trust in order to deliver a 12 month programme of cultural activity for young people and the local community in Wolverhampton.

Goodnight My Boys

2016

Goodnight My Boys was a Heritage Lottery Funded project that explored the 25 year campaign to pardon the 306 WW1 soldiers who were shot for cowardice and desertion.

Patch to Plate

2015

Patch to Plate was a yearlong Heritage Lottery Funded project which aimed to trace the history of the Merridale and Bantock areas of the City of Wolverhampton. It explored the development from open land and farms to houses, and the local community’s relationship with food and its production.

Shot at Dawn: Lest We Forget

2014

Young people from Central Youth Theatre produced a film and exhibition to tell the story of soldiers executed for cowardice in the First World War.

Everybody Dance Now

2011

Everybody Dance Now involved people from all generations – as well as six European youth theatre groups and other community groups from across the City.  In August 2011 the project culminated in a week-long international festival.

The Supreme Sunbeam

2007

CYT were awarded the heritage lottery grant to explore the history of this world famous company and to investigate the impact that it had on the local community, its employees and their families.
